Abstract
BACKGROUND: To evaluate the usefulness of transvaginal and transrectal ultrasonography for diagnosis and management of deeply infiltrating rectosigmoid endometriosis.
METHODS: A series of six patients (aged 32–39 years) with rectosigmoid endometriosis underwent transvaginal and transrectal ultrasonography. In three patients undergoing surgical resection of the intestine, the ultrasonographic findings were compared with macroscopic and microscopic findings. In one patient, sequential observations of the lesion using ultrasonography were conducted before and after medical treatment and following childbirth.
RESULTS: In all cases, the lesion was detected as a hypoechoic irregular-shaped area surrounded by a hyperechoic rim located posterior to the uterus, with size ranging from 18 x 17 to 29 x 28 mm in diameter. The comparison of the ultrasonographical findings with histology revealed that the hypoechoic irregular-shaped area corresponded to a layer of hypertrophic muscularis propria of the lesion, while the hyperechoic rim represented the layer including the mucosa, submucosa and serosa. In one patient, the lesion decreased in size and lost its central hypoechoic area after childbirth in association with pain relief.
CONCLUSIONS: Transvaginal and transrectal ultrasonography provides characteristic appearances for rectosigmoid endometriosis that correlate well with its histological findings.
The procedures would be useful in the management of rectosigmoid endometriosis.

April 2003 Beverly Doucette was runing out of work as patient's advocate as ALL the patients came to EndoGyn for surgery (around 100 a year) and no one wanted to go to her favorite surgeons... and the US surgeons were runing out of work ...
She found Dawn Rose, that was just rejected from me to be THE ONLY advocate for me,
which turned her from praising me " her HERO" to "a laying piece of shit".
And later on, they even wrote I am "Nazi" and "Hitler"... and now they don't believe I had a yewish father that survived Ausschwitz, while some of his family were killed there?
So they don't know all about me... even if they opened my private life for all...
If you both or one of you is yewish, you are a shame for all yews !
Anyway you are a shame for America as your interactions are at the lowest level a human can get to...
After 3 years of attacks I had to close the EndoGyn office and appartments that I built for patients coming for adhesiolysis procedure, as less patients from US were coming in. All patients appartments and office and everythiung else, around 1 Million Euro and I am at bankruptcy.
Thus I couldn’t pay bills and thus have some enemies here, who cooperate with BD / DR and make some pictures for them and give other informations, false accusation, manipulating.
Not a patient made photos, this were those informants.
But all the garbage is PAST.
EndoGyn is not a buidling and not a facility.
It has to start new avoid mistakes done before.
We continue to perform surgeries and probably in a better facility than it was before and more secure for patients.
Patients are coming, even if DB / DR don't believe it and try to make every one to believe that too.
That is what I call ignorant, even if they see the evidence, they post I am in Mainz with an computer…
Mainz is the home of my ex wife that I divorced 1996. Maybe she posts for me from Mainz ???
That I still function, whatever they do and say, makes them even more angry and they attack even more, but those attacks lately are nothing than garbage and not effective, as I have nothing to loose anymore…
But your doctors hiding themselves cowardly behind you and those joining your “conspiracy team” HAVE something to loose…
Those patients, believing this bullshit, anyway would not even understand an informed consent as Dawn Rose didn't understand it and what I was telling her.
And their attacks on the german board and patients ... no chance to win there !
No one believes garbage of mentally ill and drugs-addicted ...
So let's wait and see...
